Backstreet Bistro - Palm Desert

All closed... no din in nothing should not be on the list to make reservations!

Made online reservation received a confermation. When we arrived, the place was closed. It would have been nice to notify about the closing, especially after receiving a seizure of the reservation. We're not coming back.

I am a regular customer, but Friday's experience was incredibly disappointing. The restaurant was very busy and the kitchen was struggling to keep up with orders. Despite informing the staff that we had a theater show at 8:00, our main course didn't arrive until after 7:45, leaving us with only 15 minutes to eat. The quality of the food was inconsistent, but the service was excellent. Our server went above and beyond to try and expedite our meals, despite being overwhelmed with too many tables. She was a shining star in a hectic situation. I ended up cancelling my reservation for 8:00 a few days later due to the disappointing experience.

Good Italian food, with very friendly staff. The out door eating is very comfortable.

Second time and enjoyed just as much. Good value and food
