We ordered takeout from here and we’re very pleased. Large portions of very tasty food. General Tso’s chicken was well spiced and just enough tang without being sour. Mongolian beef was perfectly seasoned. Hot and sour soup and won ton were excellent, as well. We are from Philly and have eaten Chinese cuisine a lot. This ranked up there with the best. What User doesn't like about Oriental Garden:
This restaurant, under new ownership, was the worst Chinese food I have ever had. The kitchen was dirty, the dishes were greasy, flavorless, and way too salty. The service was poor and inattentive, with no tablecloths and just paper napkins on the table. The decor was unattractive and awful. The entire establishment should be closed down and rebuilt by the health department. I will not be returning. View all feedback.
The customer service was great, eating was okay. they had some good vegan options
Delicious, cheap, fast ChineseI got the lunch special sesame combo. It tastes just as delicious as it smells! Most Chinese combo plates are $9+ this place was $7-8+ (9 w tip) so it's a bit cheaper than normal, not just that though, they, instead of giving out the typical Tupperware of most Chinese places, give out styrofoam containers. Now this may seem like a bad thing, as a lot of us like using the free Tupperware, but because of this, or maybe they're just extra generous, you get at least 25% more food! And about the food, typically sesame chicken is more syrupy, theirs is more dry, i don't see this as a drawback as it makes it more edible and still retains flavor, it's very good still. The rice is disappointing, it still tastes like fried rice but there's really only onions and carrot shreds in, no other veggies or pork or broccoli or bean sprouts or egg like other places. Still good thoughAnd the egg roll is delicious and packed to the brim, unlike others that it basically just shell and crunch, they load it full!Great place, will come back ~It's just a shame there appears to be no dine in at the moment as there is a beautiful interior as well.
