I can’t say enough about how great this place was.. I am very discriminatory, due to my restaurant background. JoJo, our server was phenomenal. The owner and his son came out, to see how our meal was, and they were so friendly. The food is incredible. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. What R Frank doesn't like about La Piazza Cafe:
Would go into detail regarding my experience but it seems that the owner or owners bully anyone with a negative review. I won’t take my chances on that. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 View all feedback.
We have been here before and this time was with a large group for an event. The food was fantastic- I had Sea Bass, husband had Filet- both were great. Appetizers were varied and delicious- lobster bruschetta was amazing. . The staff is well informed to help with wine selections and the atmosphere is friendly and fun! We will return many times! Service: Dine in
Delivered a cake here and let me tell you...these people are professionals yet so welcoming! Love the atmosphere and the people. Beautiful place! Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The clams and mussel appetizer was horrible, grit in the mussels and there was no flavor in the sauce. Very plain! The pasta carbonara was not authentic. Too heavy with what they called “cream”. It was nothing more than a white pasta fetichini sauce added to the pasta. There was no egg mixed with the pasta and proshutio. . No flavor because the sauce took over. Authentic Italian carbonara is mostly wine, olive oil, cheese and egg mixed with the pasta and meat! . Very disappointed with our meal ! Expensive for the quality of food we were served! Better to go to Olive Garden!
What a nice surprise to find a genuine Italian restaurant on my travels. Incredibly welcoming lovely indoor and outdoor spaces and fantastic servers. Owner Larry was incredibly attentive and made the evening better. Encrusted lamb was cooked perfectly Scallops to die for and a Bolognase that tasted home cooked with care. Wine list was excellent and reasonable. Low markup and nice selection. Wine available to take out as well at very reasonable cost. Lobster Bruchetta was a winner! Ceasar Salad with Anchovies is a must have as well. Thank you Larry and your staff for making a visitor from Washington , DC happy! I look forward to visiting sometime soon .
