Rooney's - Palm Bay

The Reuben sandwich at this restaurant is excellent! I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Our server, Kelly, was very courteous and friendly. The service was fast and I will definitely be back. This was my second time visiting and it's a great spot to become a regular.

As for my dinner, I mistakenly ordered a French Dip instead of the Roast Beef on Kimmelweck with mashed potatoes (no gravy). When the plate arrived, the mashed potatoes had gravy, but this was not a big issue as I had ordered the wrong sandwich. The waitress later brought me the Beef on Weck with mashed potatoes, which was very good. However, I later found out that the sandwich came with a choice of macaroni salad or coleslaw as a side. The waitress did not explain this option when I chose mashed potatoes, and it resulted in a $3.00 extra charge for the coleslaw which I would have preferred. When I questioned the $3.00 charge on the bill, the waitress explained it to me and offered a take-home container of macaroni salad, which I declined. I felt that the $3.00 should have been taken off our bill instead. Unfortunately, due to these issues, we will not be returning to Rooney's. We can find a much better meal elsewhere for $17.99. The price for a fish fry that has decreased in size, is overcooked, and missing hush puppies is simply outrageous.

Located at the site of Palm Bay's original grocery store from 1960, this restaurant has a rich history and plenty of intriguing décor. The food is delicious and they frequently offer live music for added entertainment.

This is a wonderful place to get a drink at the bar or have a nice family dinner in a warm environment. Service was fantastic, large portions, authentic food. We tried, prime rib, steak, rolls, baked potato, broccoli with hollandaise, fries ans grilledcheese. They were all great and well be back for sure.

Our waiter made us feel like family. We had the best social club dinner and the best Poutine ???? My Husband had an amazingly tender rack of ribs and I had the Shrimp Greek Salad. Both were superb. Definitely a date night must. Xx
