What User doesn't like about Vithal Kamats:
While driving towards Gujarat from Mumbai its on your left, easy to locate with sign boards on the highway. Its just the brand name, food here is not worth it at all. Its on the highway location is good but terrible service and tasteless food. There are better places around. Even a simple missal pav lacked taste! I had to leave it uneaten. I was looking forward to trying authentic Marathi dishes, but was disappointed to find mainly basic main course items and South Indian dishes on the menu. However, the Vittal Batata Vada was delicious!
Very good place for having breakfast. We were on the way to our destination and took a stop at this place. Had butter masala dhosa. and that was really yummy.
Vithal Kamat on NH 8 is my go-to spot for breakfast whenever I am visiting Tarapur or traveling further, whether for business or with my family. The restaurant is clean, tidy, and serves piping hot South Indian delicacies like Idli, Dosa, and Misal that are absolutely delicious. They also offer a variety of other options. It's a great place to stop for a meal on the highway and offers good value for money. Please note that pets are not allowed.
This is a spacious, well-maintained restaurant. Be sure to try the Vitthal Kamat special potato wada. They also have a good selection of South Indian dishes.
