Restaurant Maya Canada - Palenque

Been here twice: dinner and breakfast. Pleased with both. I 'd have to say that (by Mexico standards breakfast was a bit pricey. But it was EXCELLENT and HUGE. So much so that if we go back tomorrow we 'll share just one meal. I really try to have local cuisine when I travel; but my experience is that the America Breakfast is what suits me best, at the start of the day. This restaurant offers that (and other options and also isn 't baffled by the request for 'leche ' with the coffee- which (surprisingly? seems to incomprehensible in to many other places. Also: the staff is SO attentive that it was impossible to say 'thank you ' enough.

We enjoyed our lunch at Maya Cañada very much. Tasty foods, refreshing drinks, and friendly service. It is not a popular restaurant nor you should expect street food prices (why should a restaurant in Chiapas be less expensive than a comparable one in Merida or Guadalajara). When I want cheap food, I go to the local market. We arrived walking and it was really hot: our server proposed a lemonade with mineral water that was delicious. After cooling off, we order some good tequila and beers, ordered food, and enjoyed the breeze in a corner of the terrace room. We decided to have venison and boar dishes. They were delicious and probably we should have order one appetizer and one dish, and share (with Mexican food, always so rich, it's a good idea). The restaurant is located in a a tourist development by downtown, lovely neighborhood. We found the value of our lunch to be fair given the quality of the food, the freshness of ingredients,,the enjoyable settings, and the attentive service. My advice: try Yucateca cuisine at this restaurant.

We had dinner here and we were very impressed with the quality and presentation of the food. A wide selection of local delicacies, including vegetarian options. The restaurant is located in the very charming cañada , lined with trees and boutique hotels. Highly recommend!!

Lugar enfocado al turista en zona de hoteles, pero comida bastante buena y servicio bueno. Recomiendo pollo en salsa mole. Lo peor que cenas al aire libre y hay muchos mosquitos
