Cafe del Mar Mamaia - Palazu Mare

Fabulous outside bar/restaurant. Cocktail menu, delicious with plenty of choice. You can reserve your seats on the cocktail bar as well as the restaurant. Great live entertainment. Singers, musicians and dancers. Backdrop is a light up waterfall. Pricey for the drinks but it was worth it. Definitely recommend.

Loved the pool, the outdoor space, the location, the maids were so wonderful.The beach is close and beautiful. The gardens are great! It felt unassuming and welcoming. Out of the craziness but close enough to be crazy if that's what you want.

We went to the famous Cafe del Mar to have a bite to eat and watch the amazing sunset. Unfortunately I would advise anyone thinking to do the same, please don't waste your money on poor service and very average food which was cold when served. We had starters which were ok but nothing special. Then we had 2 hour wait for our main which seemed like it had been left on the side all that time. All they seem to do is cash in on the sunset and get you to pay for it. It's has unfortunately lost its soul from when it first opened in the 80s. Still plays nice music though. I would suggest to get your selves a bottle of wine and sit on the rocks next to Cafe Del Mar and watch the sunset for free.

I dropped into the Cafe del Mar, an upscale beach bar and club on the Black Sea at Mamaia, Romania. The sofas were comfy and the beautiful people were lounging on the "sezlongs". A chilled mix played. Unfortunately the bass was largely provided by the neighbouring bar, accompanied by shouts from an adjoining volleyball court. Perhaps I am a little fussy. The cheapest beer was Ursus at 10 lei (£2) and cocktails about 23 lei (£4.40): about double the neighbouring bars, but still less than London. I could not see any particular reason to pay more to drink a second beer there, so went to a cheaper sunbed next door. But might be nice for some club activity late in the evening.
