Luis Rey's - Pala
Luis Rey's
Description
Luis Rey's at Pala Casino is a lively, game-focused sports bar with multiple TVs, a massive screen and a full bar with happy-hour deals. Portions are generous and hits include wings, ribs, carne asada fries and ceviche, though other dishes skew toward dive-bar quality. Service is inconsistent—friendly servers at times but occasional slow or brusque staff—making it best for casual groups, casino visitors and sports fans seeking affordable, shareable plates and a spirited atmosphere.

Yo the chicken wings are insaaaaane! The ribs are melt in your mouth and so meaty. The ceviche is one of the best I've had. This place is MONEY! And the prices are great. Im definitely coming back. Service was also fantastic.
Rude. We sat for nearly 40 mins waiting for menus and water. We were told to seat ourselves and were fully ignored. Other people were seated and served and we still hadn’t even been acknowledged. We left. Waste of time and kinda dirty
We had an early dinner/late lunch on Sunday. They had very little to offer in the way of food. The restaurant was not crowded. The shrimp taco special was good although $15.95 for two tacos, salsa and sour cream was not a great value. The chicken quesadilla was also good but again not a great value at $14.95. Avocado or guacamole was not available.
Disclaimer I 've only eaten here once (this past week), but may again in the near future to help solidify my review. I was torn between a 3 (A OK) and 4 star (I 'm a fan) rating. The service we received was excellent, from the hostess to the waitress. The menu is limited and I am not sure if that is SOP, or due to the WuFlu conditions. Unlike all restaurants in California being mandated (AGAIN) at this time to only allow for outdoor dining, the restaurants at Pala are allowing indoor dining as an option with social distancing of the tables. We elected to eat indoors, which made for a pleasant experience. Our waitress was attentive, but not annoying. Our orders came out in a timely manner, as did our couple of drink orders. Some of the foods we ordered included potato skins, chicken wings, chicken tenders and fries. The potato skins were just okay, nothing special, and we received a total of 7. They needed some salt and/or pepper to kick them up a notch. The chicken wings were very good, as far as I was concerned. They were plump, fried well and had a nice taste unto themselves. I was happy with the quantity provided, about 10 or 12 (I should have counted), along with a few carrot and celery sticks thrown in the mix. The sauces provided, in small disposable containers, were okay. You may need to ask for more of the one you prefer. The fries were crispy and did not wilt after sitting out during the hour we ate. The wife said she enjoyed her chicken tenders. We ordered cocktails with our meal. Although they were good they were watered down compared to the heavy pour cocktails we had at one of the bars within the casino beforehand. I guess we got spoiled too quickly. Overall, regardless of whether my true rating is a 3 or 4 star, we agreed we would eat here again and figure it out.
This restaurant is located in Pala Casino. I came for happy hour which is from 3:00 to 6:00pm. Prices are good and portions are big. The street tacos are full of chicken, beef, or pork and you get 3 tacos for $9. It's a meal. The nachos are huge. For $12.95, they are big enough for 4 people to split. The Carne Asada fries are also big enough for 4 people to split. They are $14.95. They have a full bar. The staff is nice and friendly. The bar area is inviting and full of huge televisions to watch all different kinds of sports
