Luis Rey's - Pala
Luis Rey's
Description
Luis Rey's at Pala Casino is a lively, game-focused sports bar with multiple TVs, a massive screen and a full bar with happy-hour deals. Portions are generous and hits include wings, ribs, carne asada fries and ceviche, though other dishes skew toward dive-bar quality. Service is inconsistent—friendly servers at times but occasional slow or brusque staff—making it best for casual groups, casino visitors and sports fans seeking affordable, shareable plates and a spirited atmosphere.

We were there for an hour and a half and still hadn't received our hot dog or quesadilla. The manager did not come over and apologize, and our waitress gossiped with customers for 15 minutes while we were waiting with the check to leave. We will never go back to Pala Casino because of this experience.
I ordered at 8:00pm. 8:20pm. I am still waiting for three mini tacos and an order of French fries. Can you imagine if I ordered a larger platter for supper? Probably, I would be waiting a full hour! The ambiance is a dark-lit bar. Too dim that both managers hit their legs by banging into my table on two separate times as I dined. Perhaps this table needs to be moved elsewhere if employees bang themselves on the edge of this table? Just a thought. I was surprised they were open because it says they are only open Friday-Sunday. Had I known it would take almost 30 minutes for the food to arrive, I would not have chosen Luis Rey's. Once the food platters were set on the table, I did not get any additional service from my waitress even though I clearly placed my empty glasses of water and root beer beside the edge of my table. The street tacos were good. Fries were crispy. I would have liked for my waitress to have checked on me for refills. I was disappointed when I sat down because the only one that paid attention to me to have a seat was the bus lady. Yet, someone from behind me had reprimanded her for seating me! So much for customer service! There were ten tables inside at the time so between the three servers, it was not super busy. I do not think I would dine here again. Simply because of the quality of the service. My server did come to me at the end to ask me if I was ready for the check. I just feel there ought to have been a check-in with me during the meal. So, for recommendations: I would try the neighboring restaurants. Perhaps, you will get better service and a faster turnaround time for your food to arrive!
Rude. We sat for nearly 40 mins waiting for menus and water. We were told to seat ourselves and were fully ignored. Other people were seated and served and we still hadn’t even been acknowledged. We left. Waste of time and kinda dirty
We had an early dinner/late lunch on Sunday. They had very little to offer in the way of food. The restaurant was not crowded. The shrimp taco special was good although $15.95 for two tacos, salsa and sour cream was not a great value. The chicken quesadilla was also good but again not a great value at $14.95. Avocado or guacamole was not available.
This restaurant is located in Pala Casino. I came for happy hour which is from 3:00 to 6:00pm. Prices are good and portions are big. The street tacos are full of chicken, beef, or pork and you get 3 tacos for $9. It's a meal. The nachos are huge. For $12.95, they are big enough for 4 people to split. The Carne Asada fries are also big enough for 4 people to split. They are $14.95. They have a full bar. The staff is nice and friendly. The bar area is inviting and full of huge televisions to watch all different kinds of sports
