I was pleasantly surprised by the good quality of the food, both from the a la carte dishes and the dim sum trolley offerings. I particularly liked: 1. The dim sum trolleys with a variety of favorites 2. The extensive a la carte menu, perfect for large groups 3. The reasonable prices for dim sum during lunchtime 4. The restaurant's new and fresh interior, a welcome change from other Chinese restaurants in Auckland 5. The bustling atmosphere with local customers during lunchtime, indicating that the place is a popular choice for yum cha 6. The unique $2 charge for a special chili soy sauce, which was delicious with hints of sweet Chinese wine and a light oil base 7. The flavorful and not-too-oily roasted dishes, especially the ha gao. Overall, I was glad we chose to stop by Chow Foo for yum cha today.
