The banana bread wa... read more We were passing and just planned to look at the menu. Then we saw the vegan ice cream and banana bread, it was hot, so we thought why not... The banana bread was amazing, it's usually my favourite type of cake and this one didn't disappoint. It was very tasty and moist. We had coconut vanilla and match flavoured ice creams. The coconut vanilla was great, the matcha had an unusual flavour, we have not had matcha many times before so it's a flavour we're not used to. I have to say the flavour grew on me the more I had. Both ice creams were incredibly thick and creamy. We saw some people at the next table having tempeh salads and they looked amazing. Staff were lovely and we will definitely be back for a proper lunch. Meal number 2 and we had Japanese curry which was nice but didn't blow me away, was lots of vegetables and healthy though. The tempeh with it was devine! Pesto spaghetti which was delicious with some grilled aubergine which was all kinds of tasty perfection. We shared fresh spring rolls which were also great, the peanut ginger sauce particularly. And waffle with ice cream for desert which was also fantastic. Updated from previous review on 2020-08-02

I had spring rolls, and then a chocolate dessert with coconut whipped cream, it was so good, especially the coconut whipped cream! This place is vegetarian, not vegan. They have stickers at the tables saying go vegan and by the entrance is a list of documentaries for people to watch to help them go vegan. So then I wondered why the restaurant itself isn't vegan. Shouldn't they practice what they preach? Also, some of the items in their shop are not so environmentally friendly, such as the disposable plastic dental floss picks (from Watsons).

We came back here a few times and had the egg coffee, cappuccino, the gluten-free fruit waffle, pulled mushroom sandwich and pesto eggplant sandwich and the summer rolls! The fried potatoes with the dipping sauce are next level delicious!!!
