drinks and dinners were great! the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for? bummed didn't give it live music- missed it for a week. the reason why we leave a four? because the appetizer was disappointing. we ordered the nachos, the small and underwhelming for $12. What User doesn't like about Riff Raff Brewing Company:
I stopped in for lunch while passing through the city, and I have to say, I was not impressed. I ordered the lammburger, which was touted as their best seller on the menu, but I'm not sure why. The patty was too small for the bun and quite salty. While the toppings were decent, they alone can't elevate the burger. The pickle was just a soggy cucumber without any flavor. I was really disappointed, especially for a $17... View all feedback.
What a fantastic brewery located right next to a river as you enter Pagosa Springs! The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Although there was a bit of a wait, there’s a lovely area where you can enjoy nature while you do. The brewery is surrounded by beautiful tree-covered hills and the river view opens up to a lovely field—it's simply breathtaking. We've visited in the winter before, and if you're lucky, you might spot deer in the hills behind the brewery or drinking from the river. There's also a back patio where you can take in the stunning views. The beer was outstanding, so we decided to take a growler home with us. I enjoyed the Plebeian Porter and the oatmeal coffee stout—there's nothing like a good stout during winter. Unfortunately, one of the stouts wasn't available for takeout, which was a bit disappointing since we don't live nearby, but that's okay. When we travel, we usually visit a restaurant just once to experience as much as possible in a new area, but Riff Raffs was so impressive that we had to come back a second time. The hamburgers were absolutely mouthwatering! They were juicy, flavorful, and the chips and fries were perfectly crispy and fresh—hands down, the best burgers in Pagosa. Both of our servers were incredibly accommodating and attentive, and the manager even came to check on us. The atmosphere is exactly what you’d expect from a beloved small-town brewery, with everyone enjoying themselves and a lively buzz all around. Inside, there are TVs if you’d like to catch a game, and a bar area at the back with even more screens. The only downside is the parking; it can be a challenge to find a spot, but be patient—it’s definitely worth it!
I stopped by for a beer and it was excellent! The price per person was around $10–20. I would rate the food a 4, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5.
The burgers were delicious, and the beer was great. It was conveniently within walking distance from our Airbnb. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff were friendly. I would definitely return. Price per person: $30–50 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4.
The burger was just average, but the service was outstanding. The chicken strips were delicious. Overall, I'd rate the food a 4, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5.
This is a fantastic brewery, and it's great to see that it might be owned by a Texas Tech graduate, which is a nice bonus. The beers are excellent and reasonably priced. I ordered the porter, while my wife went for the blonde ale. The burgers were outstanding. My Big Lambowski was a standout—it's essentially a gyro in burger form, and it had incredible flavor. My wife also really enjoyed her Dude Burger. The fries were definitely worth the extra cost. The service was prompt and very courteous. I wouldn't hesitate to return!
