September Update: We walked past and wondered if we wanted a drink. But after seeing the sad burgers and the hot stone thing, which I thought was fashionable in the 90s, we decided we didn't need that. Unfortunately, this place—like most restaurants in Paderborn—only offers run of the mill baked potatoes, pasta, and other dishes that you can easily make at home. What a pity! Update: Unfortunately, the food is back to standard fare. Staebner is gone, and with him, his great cuisine. What a pity. The current menu can be found in this form in any other average restaurant. The service is still very attentive, so I'm still giving it three stars. Old review: Jörg Staebner is now cooking at Kö13!!! Due to the old menu, this place was never worth a visit for us, but with Jörg's culinary approach, this is the new hotspot in Paderborn for us!!! Instead of relying on ordinary pasta, burgers, and the like like 90% of restaurants in Paderborn, the cooking here is still honest, artisanal, and creative, with love. There's a selection of tapas that's quite different from what you'd normally get: duck with a black grape jus, house cured salmon and chili, lamb fillet with mint, shrimp with chorizo and samphire, scallops in an egg shell with arugula... And much more! The prices for the combination of quality, taste, craftsmanship, and quantity are simply unbeatable! We're glad that Jörg's kitchen is finally back in Paderborn we'll definitely be back!
Unfortunately there were no gluten-free rolls or bread and you still had to pay the full price for the buffet
Not only is the food absolutely delicious and exquisite, the staff and owners are incredibly welcoming You 've rarely seen anything like this in recent years. You 're welcomed so warmly and treated like royalty
New owners and everything is MUCH BETTER . Super friendly staff, delicious food, cakes, salads, and a fantastic breakfast buffet on the weekends. I highly recommend it!

First went here on a Friday evening. The food was very good, they do great salads. Service was horrible. It was slow. After taking our drinks order was taken, we were left for more than 15mins before a food order was taken. We then waited more than 20mins for our food. Additionally inconsiderate smokers made sitting outside impossible which was a pity because it was a beautiful evening. We tried again purely because of the food, thus time on a Saturday late afternoon. Our server was attentive and polite. Again, the food was great. We chose salads again which are filling and just so tasty. They also have a wide variety of desserts but we didn't indulge this time around. Would certainly come again but not on a Friday (and probably Saturday) evening. The 2nd visit saved them from 2 stars
The food is amazing, the atmosphere is clean and sophisticated. Cash or German credit card only.

I have not tried to eat other food there, but they have an ice cream of giovanni l, which has a series of vegan options. each time I have been there, they have offered two types of vegan (and marked clearly as such) sorbets: passion obst and tahiti lemon. Although wafers are not vegan and they must tell them before that they do not add one, even if they buy sorbet in a cup.
Unfortunately there were no vegan cakes, as stated in the description here. Nevertheless, the staff was very friendly and can help them with regard to content and others well.

An option in a Thai curry. huge pieces, minimal sauce. I didn't even want to finish it.
