First time ever having a tea experience. Good tea options and tea was amazing! Cocktails available too if celebrating anything. Loved the options for lunch and sweets. Overall wonderful experience View all feedback.
What KikiK doesn't like about The Cafe At The Getty Villa:
It 's a lovely idea, but not especially well thought out. Obviously, the food is catered and not freshly prepared. The flavors were interesting but lacked a freshness and crunch. Time was a definite issue. You had to be there at 1pm sharp and they started hinting that you might wish to pack up leftovers at 3pm sharp. The Museum grounds were available to you with your reservation but enjoying your time having an after... View all feedback.
We didn’t book in advance but we got in. Tickets are free but parking is 15$. So you are actually paying for admission. I have been in Getty museum a lot of times. But it is my first time an villa. Nice location with beautiful view. Amazing collection of antiques. Great landscape. It even has a greek style amphitheater. But comparing to the museum is very small.
A beautiful space and happy that it is open to the public. Lots of sculptures and artifacts to view and the gardens and pool fun to explore and relax. There is lots of parking and the online ticket system is easy to use. Tickets are free, but parking is $20. The restaurant has a nice selection and there are premade sandwiches at the cafe kiosk. You can't really see the ocean, but the sea breeze is still great!
Loved this. Had it recommended but a few people and am so glad we put it on our itinerary. The grounds are gorgeous and the collections are impressive. Definitely worth a visit.Tickets are free but you'll need to pay for parking on location. Buy the parking online when you grab your tickets and it's a few bucks cheaper than buying at the gate.
This place is incredible. It’s been on LA adventure list for awhile. I haven’t been because I was thinking “eh, it’s just old stuff”. I was wrong. There was so much thought out into the Villa and the gardens. Meticulous details. The architecture is beautiful, and so are the grounds. The collection is very expansive. I did the self-guided audio tour that also recorded with great care. The docents are very polite and very helpful. It’s free, but you need a reservation time. Parking is $20. I didn’t go to the cafe, but when I walked through I saw what appeared to be quality food options and ample serving sizes. I walked through about 80% of the exhibits which took a little over 2 hours. I’ll be going back in November. I’m very glad I went. Nice outing.
The collection is amazing!!I like how everything is well lit and the glasses are clear as water. This is a good place to appreciate sculptures and some historyHeads up for early birds, there is only one entrance so better be there at least some minutes AFTER 10:00 am or else you will U- Turn that may take 5 minutes or moreParking is worth $20.00 as of 2023
