La Gloria del Campo is a restaurant in the countryside outside of Lima (Pachacamac). The specialty here is the suckling pig – make sure to reserve one when you make a reservation to avoid disappointment. The service can be a bit slow, but that’s common throughout Peru. What User doesn't like about La Gloria del Campo:
Restaurant open at noon. Our reservations were for 1:30. When we arrived they inform us their signature dish is not available. Service was absurd, we had to get up to get salt and other needs. 4 out of the five meat selections were not available. I and my guests came to lunch, the prices were absurdly expensive. The amount of food not entirely for what you pay. The taste of the dishes was really bad... and we had flying and sitting on our food. We decided not to finish them. There was also a cat sitting on my leg, and I am allergic to cats... so disgusting, defining we will never go back.
Take it or leave it list of records that are issued orally without prices until you receive the invoice. Very disappointing for a restorer who had a good reputation
Very, Very Good all around! Food Svc outstanding w/ 'cozy ' atmosphere. Bit crowded after around 8pm but well worth the wait.
We went to this restaurant in the country. We enjoyed the duck arroz con pato and also the ceviche. It was great¡¡¡¡ the place is worth visiting. The restaurant is not cheap none of the good restaurants in Lima are
Sorry, I had high expectations about the restaurant given that it is related to La Gloria in Miraflores. Went there and I am really dissapointed. Very expensive. The food was average or lower. Basically meat, some pizzas and something else in the menu that cannot remember. The appetizers were... small. The meats were served in regular servings but got cold very easily (and you cannot eat that type of meat cold! . You have to pay extra for side dishes (meat come without any . Guess that the only reason why a reservation is recommended to get a seat there is because as every new place in the city is always visited by the crowd until a new restaurant arrives. I will recommend to skip it, there are so many good restaurants around there.
