We liked the appetizer sampler to share but the mains of pelmeni and cutlet were just ok. Nice carrot cake to top it off. Our server was nice and the restaurant had cute touches like the rabbit den just before the washrooms. This place was great. It was pretty chill and tasty. They had a very nice staff and were very happy to share cultural insights with us. This wasn’t super special, but it was somewhere I could see myself eating on a normal day. Give it a whirl.
Typical Russian restaurant. We booked for Saturday evening and we had the luck to find a table on short notice. During the evening, a pianist was playing (highly appreciated). The menu is not wide but all the dishes were fine (few dishes well prepared are much better than hundreds of low quality). The service was very good and in English
Nice cosy place next to the river. The Azerbaijan wine was light and nice. The mushroom soup was light and a good starter. The chicken cutlet was really good, however the potatoes next to them were not cooked fully. Staff were super friendly and spoke good English! Menu was also in English.
Excellent, authentic food and friendly, helpful staff. All four waiters I spoke to had a good command of English, too. The atmosphere is really relaxed and casual, reminding me a bit of a country inn in a positive sense. Would absolutely recommend for anyone looking for authentic cuisine in a simple, non pretentious setting. I got a table when I walked in shortly before 6 PM on a Sunday evening, but many people were turned away because they seem to be booked out. So you might want to call ahead.
