Returned to Alpette for the first time in ski seasons. Chose the plat du jour which was filet mignon de porc with a sweet sauce, gratin dauphinoise potatoes and grilled tomatoes. It was simply delicious, the pork was perfect, the gratin was beautifully creamy, see photo. The Passoud family run a very good restaurant summer and winter, when it's next to Alpette lift. What 540guilhemm doesn't like about L'alpette Chez Passoud:
I see no good reason to ever eat at Alpette. The food was simply terrible (the veal in the plat du jour tasted sour, the melted cheese was a strange mix of cheese and heavy cream). 3 out of the 4 in our party had stomach aches all afternoon. Small altitude restaurant at the arrival of the cable car at 2000m. Ideal to taste it after a walk, especially if the sun is part.
A restaurant and a site (Carrelet) that are worth a visit... I strongly recommend: Sophie's ravioli (original creation)...
