Unlike other McDonald's I've visited, they had napkins readily available for customers.

I... read more Dining out in Ventura can be quite unsettling, as you never know what you might encounter. This McDonald's is an improvement over Pierpont, but only slightly. I've experienced undercooked food here more than once. The fries are rarely served piping hot, and they often seem hesitant to warm up the pies. The coffee can be hit or miss. There are a couple of employees who stand out for their excellent service, but many others seem to be lacking in their effort, which can take a toll on your meal. Don't hesitate to voice your concerns, though; they genuinely seem to care.

McDonald's is usually a reliable choice, offering a consistent and enjoyable experience with Happy Meals, Big Macs, and their famous fries. Here, the only positive is the location—close to the freeway—and the overall brand, although this particular restaurant’s reputation is definitely lacking. It feels like a 2-star experience at best, with nothing golden about these arches. The service is slow and inefficient. The sweet tea tastes overly sweet, almost undrinkable. The staff seem friendly and hardworking, but there appear to be issues with training, management, or operations. It’s hard to blame the employees when other McDonald's locations in the Oxnard area do much better. Almost every time I use the drive-thru, especially at breakfast, my order is wrong. Sometimes the inside is even closed when you want to go in, which is frustrating post-COVID. Is it a staffing issue? Possibly. But there has to be a deeper cause. I stand by my 2-star rating. To those in charge—please address these problems, whether at the regional or corporate level. With better training or changes, this convenient location could be a solid McDonald's again. Until then, I’ll be going elsewhere and cannot recommend this one.
