What William Birch doesn't like about A Taste Of Philly:
Lacking in quality from what it used to be. Cheese steak was dry and had barely any meat. Their fries have changed as well. They boast “board walk fries,” however what I received tonight was what I would consider “pizza shop fries” View all feedback.
Heard you guys were shutting down. Thats a shame, it was great food.

I would not recommend this place to anyone other than an enemy. The entire store is full of random trash just sitting in the corners. The food was not good service was horrible.
We stopped by this past Saturday around lunchtime and were surprised to find the place completely empty. I love pizza steaks so hubby and I ordered a whole Rocky Balboa to split and an order of fries. The fries came out first, the portion was large but the fries looked and tasted like they had been re-heated, they definitely didn't taste like the fresh cut boardwalk fries on the menu. The sub was overflowing with steak but the roll definitely needed to be toasted in order to accommodate the marinara sauce that made it literally impossible to eat the hoagie without a fork and I honestly couldn't taste any mozzarella or parmesan, probably should have substituted with sharp provolone in order to taste the cheese (after trying to eat the messy sub with a fork I ended up boxing up over half of my half of the sub and took it home for our golden retriever). They don't have fountain soda so the only option is bottled beverages from the cooler which weren't very cold. The light in the ladies room was very dim and overall not very pleasant and the door leading to the back door had a huge gap allowing for cold air to constantly flow into the restaurant. All the pre-cut items in the cooler (roasted peppers, onions, mushrooms) did not appear to be very fresh nor did the salads so I'm guessing this place is not very busy. Unfortunately, you need more than a lot of meat on your sub to bring people back so we won't be returning.
