The Royal Oak - Oxford

I drove too long before this place, so I decided to try. I went in the middle of the week and was not too busy, but still had a lively atmosphere that was really nice. I liked the general mood and the staff was all very nice. I ordered the QR code and went through very smoothly. I have a very beautiful Cask-Ale and the chicken carving. I think next time I could keep there!

Chicken carving beautiful, aspall cider beautiful. social ambiente good for us old professors goes back centuries. I think they should open before 12 o'clock. every time I get to oxford, this place will go directly to my bus stop to the house.

Decent food. Prices are somewhat higher than average, bit huge portions (enough for two people to share), so overall good value for money. What I found suboptimal was the setting: the place is quite dark, so that at some tables you sort of see your food in black and white, which makes it a bit less appetising (the visuals are important).

A warm inviting and friendly pub, in great location, visited with family for a meal as the city was extremely busy. Staff were amazing the manager robyn was friendly and found us a great table next to fire as it was cold and wet, made us feel welcomed in. The food was fantastic quick and easy ordering and our table server new the dishes. The chef Tracey was 2st class and we will definitely be vising again .

Went here for two Christmas socials. The staff were fantastic and the food was brilliant! Such large portions for the 3 course meal we were all busting at the seams. Couldn't be happier! Thanks Royal Oak!
