I had the Sunday roast, and it was excellent! The service was great, and the atmosphere at midday on a Sunday was perfect with good vibes all around. They have a decent wine list, and for a three-course meal for two, you're looking at around £100 or more, including a glass of wine. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Gees:
Gees has been our favourite Oxford restaurant for some years and its simply become better each year, not the cheapest in town but for ambiance and quality European and fusion food its excellent. View all feedback.
Conservatory was very noisy but then I have a severe hearing loss so found it difficult
Atmosphere of the place is really special, but service is poor I asked the waiter to ask the chef if it was possible to add parmesan and truffle oil to the fries the waiter said he would not ask, because they don't do it. It wouldn't be an issue for me if it was said in a different manner and tone. Also, the linguini I ordered had a crushed shell in it, so there were many sharp pieces in it. Not worth the price tag.
Great welcome at the door, and first class service at the table. Food excellent. Would definitely recommend.
Bit slow service but okay . Food was good. Ambiance is just beautiful
Burger rather tasteless and in general not great Seems as if the burger itself was bought-in, rather than having being prepared freshly on the premises. As a regular customer, this is not at all what I would have expected in such a usually very good restaurant. I would not recommend anyone to order this burger at Gee’s.
