This is now called The Apron. I make a very good sausage gravy with biscuits but I had to admit, his is better than mine. The biscuits homemade and the sausage gravy with a slight touch of heat and sweetness, delish! The burger was super and the fries looked great... next time I'm getting them. We stopped based on TA reviews. It’s located in the regional airport building with no signage to guide you. I have a sensitive olfaction and gustation (smell and taste). When the seafood chowder arrived I was blasted by the smell of fish. The ammonia, fishy odor. My first taste picked up on it, too. For me, fish is not supposed to have an odor unless it’s old. We stopped by here on a gusty Saturday solely to check out Bill's. Although the menu is small the food is well prepared. We were expecting cafe food but Bill puts an artists touch exceeding expectations. The Seafood chowder was quite amazing and the hot ham and cheese sandwich on a cozy sub roll was equally enjoyable. Prices are reasonable and service is great--you should come.
I have eaten at Bill’s Origjnal Kitchen since he opened! I’ve tried most of his menu and have not been disappointed ONCE! He is a man with a plan, and is a great cook! Organized, delicious, and clean!! Perfect time for a new takeout restaurant! Welcome to Owls Head, Chef Bill!
They're only available for preordered food on Saturdays (and I believe Tuesdays-although last time my boyfriend and I were in Maine they weren't open on that Tuesday). We preordered me a curried vegetable hand-pie and also some lemon almond scones. My only issue is that I should have ordered many more. So so so delicious.
