This restaurant is located on the main street in Owensville, which seems to be struggling as a town with not much left. Fortunately, this little gem has managed to thrive in an otherwise quiet area. I've been here a few times and have always ordered the chicken strips meal. It might be the best I've ever had—generous portions at a great price, and the chicken strips are excellent. It's not typically the first thing I think of when I'm dining out, but this place consistently impresses me with its chicken strips. I think I'll be coming here more often, which means I'll have to make the drive. Keep up the fantastic work, as this is truly the place everyone should eat in Owensville—nothing else even comes close to this little treasure.
This restaurant is hidden away on Main Street in Owensville, a small town that seems to be fading fast. It's fortunate to have this little treasure amid an otherwise desolate main street with little to offer. I've visited a couple of times and always ordered their chicken strip meal, which might just be the best I've ever tried. Generous portions at a low price and outstanding chicken strips—this isn't usually what I think of when going out to eat, but this place nails it every time. I've been craving their chicken strips more often, which makes the drive worth it. Keep up the excellent work, because this is the go-to spot for everyone in Owensville; nothing else comes close to this hidden gem. Thumbs up!
The menu was quite confusing. I expected to order the $12.99 chicken, but when it arrived, it came with instant mashed potatoes, sweetened green beans with some spices, decent coleslaw, and canned gravy. The total came to $26. While the chicken itself was good, the rest of the meal was disappointing. The waitstaff were unfriendly, and the bright sunlight streaming through the screen door made it difficult to enjoy my meal as I had to swat away flies. The menu indicated a 20-minute wait for the chicken, but it actually took 37 minutes. I noticed several other customers left without being served. Overall, I won't be returning!
The food was excellent, and the service was wonderful.
The menu was quite confusing. I thought I had ordered a chicken dish for $12.99, but what I received was a plate with instant mashed potatoes, sweet green beans, and some decent spicy coleslaw, along with canned vegetables. The total came to $26, which felt overpriced for what I got. The rest of the food was disappointing. The waitstaff were not friendly, and the bright sun was shining directly in my face through the screen door, making it hard to enjoy my meal. The menu promised a 20-minute wait for our food, yet it took 37 minutes. Other diners were also left waiting without service. I won't be returning!
