It was our first full day in Oviedo and it was nearing 2pm....lunchtime in Spain. So, we decided to try La Sombra del Manzano because it was near where we were standing...by the statue of La Gitana. We ordered chicken wings and an eggplant dish. Both were tasteless and very greasy. A true disappointment ... the servers were attentive enough as they had to keep the sidra flowing : View all feedback.
An original asturian pizza, with apple and several cheeses and some rich squids. Good service.

We ran in this bar by chance and were very well attended and served by the attentive waiters who work there. We took a fab and a few afogaos chipirones to share everything, with two bottles of cider, and the account went out for € (including two coffees)
Warmth of delicious food, abundant dishes. Very good cider
We ate this noon, the waiters' deal has been impressive and the very good food. highly recommended.
