This was the first time we arrived early enough to benefit from the happy hour, and I ordered a Four Roses Bourbon that was simply delicious. My wife chose sake, and I still have fond memories of the rolls we ordered! I wish I had taken a picture of the menu so I could reference it while writing this—sorry about that! As I mentioned, my wife and I have dined here often, and we’ve never encountered anything we didn’t... View all feedback.
What Alfred Button doesn't like about Sushi Pop:
The waiting staff was great. Kind and polite. Atmosphere was satisfying. Food was sub par. The fish quality was similar to some of the all you can eat restaurants. I believe you 're mostly paying for the creative rolls. The goldigger roll wasn 't worth the price and the KFC chicken was the worst dish I 've attempted to eat in the past 30 days. The salad... well outbacks blue cheese pecan salad is honestly even better... View all feedback.
A favorite of mine, great food and service. Try the PMS.
Best sushi in central Florida. Alessa is sublime service incarnate. Everything was perfect. Hamachi, uni, unagi, all great.
If you're craving sushi late at night, this isn’t the place to go. I called to order sushi at 8:28 pm and spoke with a gentleman named Dylan. Dylan asked if he could place me on a “brief” hold, but that “brief” hold turned into 10 minutes. I didn’t want to lose my spot, so I called the restaurant on my house phone and got a busy signal. The restaurant closes at 9, and I was already on hold for 10 minutes. I decided to hang up and call back, the phone just kept ringing. I was so annoyed. I had my 14-month-old baby with me and wasn’t in the mood to walk in and speak to a manager about my disappointment with the staff leaving me on hold to avoid taking last-minute orders. My pet peeve is when a restaurant decides they’re “too busy” or it’s “too late” to take to-go orders. I did my best to put my order in before the last 30min. This experience definitely left a bad impression on me. This isn’t the first time this has happened. I’ve called before during the last hour of operations, and the phone would just stay busy. However, this is the first time someone answered and kept me on hold, blocking the phone line. Horrible customer service late at night!
As you enter the location, you realize you're not at your typical strip mall sushi restaurant. Sushi Pop is next level sushi for sure. The ambiance inside is that of an upscale restaurant with half the restaurant being a bar/lounge setting with VERY high top seating. The other half was blocked off when we visited, but from what I could see there was nice table seating. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and professional. They have plenty of unique items on the menu. But the sushi... oh the sushi was amazing. Also, don't be afraid to try to sake flight, it was a really cool experience. Great location for a low-key date night. I highly recommend Sushi Pop!
A friend raves about this place. I met her today for Happy Hour and all I can say is it was well worth the hour drive. My only regret is I wasn't there when Happy Hour started.
