If you are looking for the 40+ year old Hispanic Haven, then this is the place to be! And if you aren't looking for any of that, then you should go anyway! Went here on a Friday night with some friends and they had a live band and DJ absolutely bumping to some great Spanish tunes! The drinks are amazing and I highly recommend the Cuban mule. The menu selection is sparse, but purposeful with a selective variety of Mex... View all feedback.
What susan clopper doesn't like about De La Vega Rum, Tapas Tequila:
Enjoyed the interactive play tonight. It was fun to dress in the period and be part of the story. We had been looking forward to going to De La Vega for a while. Many times in the past we couldn’t get in so we had high hopes for this event. Unfortunately the food was awful ,Even the dessert was bad! There was a special menu for tonight’s performance however the food was so bad, I will not go back to try their regular... View all feedback.
I dont usually post reviews on line, but we have been going to De la Vega for over a year now on a regular basis. We have taken many friends, but we finally determined last night that it is just too hard to go there any more. The restaurant was wide open, but they were waiting on reservations (even for 2-tops and 4-tops). The staff is unaware of the reservation policy and they seem to make it up as they go because it seems to change weekly. The food is just ok and the drinks are under-poured. The patio is great if you can get a seat out there. Not a terrible place, but not worth the money. We decided to go to Marlows and had a much better experience.
Omg! Everything was so perfect! We went for a girl's night for my sister's birthday, it was my first time and the food and drinks were out of this world! Definitely exceeded my expectations, highly recommended and can't wait to go back!!
This is such a cute place! Selena art on the walls, catchy Latin music, and some of the best tostones I've had in ages. I wish I'd taken pictures but it was all so good it slipped my mind. The tres leches and flan were also very tasty. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area.
If you’re searching for a vibrant Hispanic spot catering to the 40+ crowd, this is definitely the place to be! But even if that’s not your scene, you should still check it out! I visited on a Friday night with friends and enjoyed a fantastic evening with a live band and DJ playing fantastic Spanish music. The drinks were excellent; I highly recommend trying the Cuban mule. While the menu is somewhat limited, it offers a well-curated selection of Mexican-style dishes, along with a good number of vegan options. The energy of the crowd, dancing and singing, created an exhilarating atmosphere that filled me with joy on a Friday night. If I had to recommend a place in Oviedo, this establishment would surely be at the top of my list!
The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere, with beautiful outdoor seating. It's located in a charming area where you can stroll around before or after your meal. For dinner, we chose to try their vegan and vegetarian tapas, and there were plenty of options available, including a dessert. While we weren’t completely wowed by the tapas we selected, we were satisfied with our choices. The vegan mango tart for dessert was definitely the highlight of the evening. We noticed that the entrées being served to other tables looked and smelled amazing, so I would certainly consider returning. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
