Contribute FeedbackA popular restaurant offering great food and service, but with some drawbacks. While the steaks were top-notch and the staff was experienced, there were issues with allergies not being taken seriously and some dishes not being hot enough. The atmosphere is described as intimate, and COVID protocols are adhered to. Despite being pricey, the exceptional food and service make it worth a return visit for special occasions. Overall, the restaurant delivers delicious meals that are well worth the price, with standout dishes like the scallop pasta and cowboy ribeye.
Food not worth the price. Would not recommend going
The steaks ribeyes were some of the best I’ve had in a restaurant in quite a while. Good thickness, good marbling, cooked perfectly to medium rare. Seems easy but so many places get it wrong. The sides were great. We didn’t have anything left for the to go box, so that tells you something. This place is consistent and well run. Thanks for a great meal. We were seated in a reserve banquet room, so that’s my only beef. A little disconnected from the real ambiance of the place. But they were busy so good for them
We’ve eaten at j. Gilbert’s a hand full of times and I will say this was the most disappointing. I ordered a KC strip that was cooked Ok but the steak was still tough and didn’t have great flavor. The better half had a pork chop that was under cookedAnd was extremely fatty. I ordered the sorbet which was horrible. The replaced it for the Creme Brûlée which was fine. For a for two people I expect better. Any chain steakhouse is better
The food was wonderful. My family wouldn’t stop raving about it
We joined friends for a birthday dinner and were very pleased with the entire experience. The waitstaff and food were the same high quality that we have come to expect from J. Gilbert’s
