Chi-town Original - Overland Park

I'm a big fan of Chicago beef sandwiches and dogs. I came here last week, ordered the Italian beef with paprika and provolone cheese at the advice of the clergy and I got some hot pommes, and man, this place was great. The sandwich had the perfect combination of crispy, chewing and a little sunk from the beef juices, as a real Chicago sandwich should be. The frits were hot and crispy, absolutely delicious, covered in ketchup and salty. The service was pretty fast and the staff was helpful. I would definitely come back to one of their dogs.

I was here a few times. Always friendly service. The food takes a little longer because they make it fresh. Always great tasting! I recommend Chili-Käsehund, Pommes and their chocolate shakes.

I had that back for the first time a few weeks. It's great and we'll be back. I had a special Greek wrap that was so delicious and they were very cool with me to suck out the onions for cheese. My husband had the burger he loved and cannot wait to go back. Also the staff is super nice and friendly and happy to be at work. I strongly recommend trying this place.

For my Chicago people living in the KC area, I serve for a real hot dog. I also have the combo and sausage was tasteful, but the beef is okay. Wish it uses another type of bread although cause when they dive it, it simply do not keep it together as a dip usually does. I can't give it 5 stars because I? ve had this food my whole life before I found out there was too much to compare. If you return, you should check it for a causal meal.

This was our first time to eat at Chi Town Original. The staff was extremely friendly and Javier, the manager, was enjoyable to chat with. The restaurant is bright, clean and has a pleasant atmosphere. There is interesting Chicago sports memorabilia on the walls. My wife ordered a Chop salad and my daughter and I ordered Chicago Dogs. Generally, I am no fan of hot dogs but decided to give a Chi Dog a try. The Chi Dog was the best hot dog I have ever eaten. I ordered it with the works. My daughter loved hers as well. My wife said her Chop salad was excellent but she couldn?t eat it all so she will take it home to finish later. The manager also gave me a sample of the Italian Beef sandwich and it was also excellent. I strongly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for quality food that is also quick. I will place this restaurant on my regular rotation.
