Contribute Feedback What Johnson likes about Café Vie:
The experience felt like ordering takeout but deciding to eat your meal inside the restaurant. The only time you interact with the staff is when they call your number to get your food. I enjoyed the Pho as it was steaming hot and had fresh ingredients. However, the Pad Thai had a little too much sauce and was spicier than expected. I would say that Café Vie is a jack of all trades, but master of none. View all feedback.
What Seth Clark doesn't like about Café Vie:
Update: Original impression is below but with this disclaimer. A little while after eating we experienced intense dry mouth which means they use a lot of MSG in the broth of the Pho. We won't be eating here again but if you don't mind a lot of MSG than go for it. This is the best Pho we have found in KC so far, I believe it's the 4th place we have tried. It's not so good that we won't try other places but it's good e... View all feedback.
The medium bowl of beef phở was delicious and more than enough to satisfy my hunger! The touchscreen ordering stations also made the entire process quite easy.
That said, this is the best pho we've found in Kansas City so far, marking our fourth attempt at different places. While it’s not enough to keep us from exploring other options, it's certainly delicious enough that we'd be open to coming back. The staff is friendly, and the prices are quite reasonable. If you haven't checked it out yet, I highly recommend giving it a try!
Delicious Vietnamese/Korean food, that tastes fresh and can warm your soul. The portions are also generous for the amount you pay. I also recommend looking up what you want online, because you'll use a touch screen kiosk to order and pay! Food wise I recommend the Beef Pho if you want a filling meal to warm you up in cold weather! If you like spicy food, then I'd recommend getting the spicy pork bun, and if you are spice intolerant like I am the bulgogi bun is to die for. My favorite appetizers from here are gimbab and pork buns, but you also can't forget about their blended boba drinks my go to choice is usually a Thai Tea. I think the best part of Café Vie is the peaceful environment, because I was able to enjoy a relaxing and laid-back date with my husband!
Incredible food! I've visited this place numerous times, and it never lets me down. If you're looking for great pho, this is the place to be. I also enjoy all their side dishes! The restaurant is clean, and the staff is friendly. You can really sense that they care about their customers.
Great spot for the place, we usually go out and get food there about every month or so. The boba is to die for! The phu is in a giant bowl so you'd need to split it with someone.
