It has a delicious smoky flavor. We both really enjoyed our meals.

What a nightmare , this is discussing and totally unacceptable.

It is a good idea to have a Alheira theme, but they don't live it. The tasting menu with 4 different alheiras had more cheese then alheira. And at 22€ I exoecte... read more It is a good idea to have a Alheira theme, but they don't live it. The tasting menu with 4 different alheiras had more cheese then alheira. And at 22€ I exoected more then 3 bites of each type of alheira. The place is half done. Staff are nice but not dedicated. This place has potential but my feeling is they don't care enough.

The restaurant name actually means alheira in the dialec than was, in old times, spoken... read more This restaurant is dedicated to Alheira , a typical portuguese sausage. The restaurant name actually means alheira in the dialec than was, in old times, spoken in the region from which this sausage originates in the northeast of Portugal . It proposes a menus where alheira is cooked in many different and original ways. If you like strong traditional flavours, you will surely enjoy this. It is a small restaurant so a reservation could be a good idea, specially during the weekends. Parking nearby is available but is expensive, there is some free parking on the street but it is very hard to find a free spot to park. There are 2 metro stations Bolhão and 24 de Agosto which are less than 10 minutes walk from the restaurant and so could be a good transportation option. The restaurant is also relatively close to the historic center about a 10 minutes walk , but still localed in a more quiet area.
