My wife comes from a Lebanese family so we were familiar with a lot of the dishes and each one off of the tasting menu still blew us away. Cocktails were also great and the service was incredible. You can tell how much effort and preparation goes on in the background. Damas is a very special restaurant!

Upon arrival to the beautifully appointed, low-lit Damas, we decided on the $160pp tasting menu to explore 10-12 shared dishes reflecting chef 's modern interpr... read more Upon arrival to the beautifully appointed, low-lit Damas, we decided on the $160pp tasting menu to explore 10-12 shared dishes reflecting chef 's modern interpretation of seasonal ingredients and regional Syrian specialties. Our one disappointment was that said tasting menu did not include hummus and grilled Saj bread. We asked to add the latter, which was brought with our meat course (the lamb was my favorite! , but did not get to try the hummus. If we return, we 'll go à la carte, so we definitely get some more of our favorites. That said, dinner was delicious. Service was attentive. The variety of lamps and deep colors were special. And we left quite full/satisfied.
