I couldn’t find any faults with this place if I tried. The staff was friendly, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I ordered the surf and turf, and as someone who can be particular about steaks, I can confidently say it was cooked to perfection. We were ignored from the moment we arrived. When we asked if we could sit outside they told us no the manager wouldn’t allow us, we were then told we couldn’t have food and could only sit out front on a 2 man bench when there was 3 of us we weren’t offered drinks and all in all felt very unwelcome. This restaurant offers excellent food prepared by a talented young chef and served by highly efficient staff. It's definitely worth a visit while you're on the island, especially since it's challenging to find better food and service at a similar price point. The venue is small, so it's advisable to make a reservation in advance. Overall, a great dining experience!
The owner of Charlie's Bistro has made a smart investment in the youth of his community to lead his establishment. As it turns out, each of them has absolutely excelled in every aspect. The food was excellent, just like the stunning photographs suggest. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the bar offered a great selection of hybrid drinks. I loved the experience!
This is a fantastic place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's especially important to make a reservation for dinner. The staff and owner are very friendly, and it's always a pleasure to visit for coffee, cake, or lunch. We truly appreciate their hospitality towards us weary walkers, even in bad weather. Thank you!
We would recommend a reservation if possible because it seems that it can be busy. eating was absolutely beautiful, freshly made and delicious with good portions. the staff was great, very friendly and helpful, also other places we recommend to visit in our holiday.
Found this place just off the hebredean way route while cycling with friends. Could be easily missed if you don't know about it! For us it was a great find. Great coffee and cake in a friendly warm environment...the menu looked good for meals and a bar available should you want a drink...could imagine a great wee buzz at night but for us ut was just the perfect pit stop...
