Probably one of the few remaining places where the locals can go without being overrun with tourists. As such, a visitor from out of town will always get strange looks and slow service....Despite all this, it's an enjoyable place to visit.

Locals were... read more Stopped in here with my daughter when we happened upon Oughterard. Lovely family owns the place, and owner’s daughter was very pleasant and helpful. Locals were friendly and welcoming to us tourists from the States, we felt right at home. It was everything an Irish...pub should be. Also... great pints!

Friendly Staff and Patrons too! Excellent service! Highly recommended.

We stayed above the pub for one night. Very cosy room, clean reasonably priced. Little kitchen with a fridge and microwave.
