Feedback
Faherty's is a cozy, local pub with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. The Guinness is highly recommended by patrons. While there are complaints about inconsistent pours, the overall experience of genuine Irish hospitality resonates. The atmosphere is lively, filled with locals who appreciate the authenticity of the establishment. With a good selection of drinks and tasty pizzas, Faherty's is a charming spot to enjoy good company and great craic. While some may find the influx of TV screens distracting, the character and warmth of this traditional pub shine through, making it a must-visit in Oughterard.
This is a proper pub, with proper mainly local customers. Probably one of the few remaining places where the locals can go without being overrun with tourists. As such, a visitor from out of town will always get strange looks and slow service....Despite all this, it's an enjoyable place to visit.
Stopped in here with my daughter when we happened upon Oughterard. Lovely family owns the place, and owner’s daughter was very pleasant and helpful. Locals were friendly and welcoming to us tourists from the States, we felt right at home. It was everything an Irish...pub should be. Also... great pints!
An unselfconscious true local pub, loved and frequented by the locals, with live music (Gaelic, Celtic, folk) and atmosphere to die for. Evocative remnants of Irish life festoon the walls
