What Kelly Verhoeven doesn't like about Le Grand Place:
When we went to eat here it was quite busy so maybe that gave the wrong impression. The food was good. Large portions but nothing to go back for, everything was prepared fairly basic. Unfortunately the service was mediocre. We always had to wait a long time before someone came to take our order. The service wasn't really friendly either. Friendly, warm welcome, nice terrace, guaranteed atmosphere given that we are immersed in a university setting (LLN) and friendly prices. Dietary restrictions: Allergens are mentioned on the menu card. Parking: Paid parking in the basement and outside. Wheelchair accessibility: Full access. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €20–30 Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options Paid parking lot
There are 2 of us, we took the duo of shrimp croquettes unfortunately there was no lemon I find that a shame, for the dish of the day (free-range chicken) it was good and for the fresh shrimp pasta it was OK . Just a shame not to have received the bread directly or even before the starter (we received it after the starter) the kitchen is good so I recommend the place but don't pay attention to the service which could be better Meal type: Brunch Price per person: €30–40 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
The staff is friendly even if I had to ask twice for the aperitif, forgotten by the first server. However, the chef agreed to serve me the grand place sauce with the chicken skewer. Unfortunately, it was of very poor quality (overcooked, very tough meat, etc. . For dessert, the chocolate wasn't hot for the white lady either. In summary, the setting is very beautiful but the value for money seems overrated to me. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €30–40 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
20 minute wait for a basket of bread. No one comes to take the order. NULL, move on.
