Next, we tried the vegetarian nachos. They were tasty, but my boss would have preferred just a bit more cheese. The jalapeños added a nice kick to them. However, I’m not a fan of the paper tray liners; I suggest either getting rid of them or serving the nachos on a large plate, as too much cheesy goodness was left stuck to the paper at the end. Then, we shared the bacon grilled cheese, accompanied by habanero-spiced pub chips and a spicy dipping sauce. I really appreciated that the portions were evenly divided and served on two separate plates, rather than just being piled on one plate with an extra one dropped off. The dessert menu was a bit limited, so we decided to enjoy more beer instead. I'm thrilled that the Clocktower is now in Orleans, though I wish it were close enough for us to walk there. No worries, though—definitely go and enjoy this spot in Orleans; we certainly plan to return!
I ordered the Jamaican kale salad as my main dish and we shared the calamari as an appetizer. My friend had the pulled pork sandwich. I had expected the jerk chicken to be spicier, but it was still quite delicious. The portion was huge, but I enjoyed it and ate it all. The vinaigrette was tangy and paired well with the kale, radishes, and walnuts. The poblano ranch dressing that came with the calamari was fantastic. My friend really enjoyed her pulled pork sandwich as well. The service was prompt and friendly. I will definitely be returning!
