Chinhon Restaurant - Ottawa

Usually I would say the food there is average at best, but it's also the only option around so we order there because of the convenience factor. However after today's horrible horrible service I will not be going back. After 1.5 hrs of waiting (for an order that was supposed to be ready in 30min), my food is given to the wrong person and they have to make it all over again. In the end, I waited almost 2 hours for my mediocre food and was still expected to pay full price. Then I get home to find overcooked/almost burned food and one item was not even what we had ordered. Do yourself a favour and spend the extra few minutes driving to pick up Chinese takeout elsewhere.

We are fairly new to the region and love Chinese food. We really missed the restaurant in our previous city but decided to try this one. Not disappointed. Always happy with our orders although once they gave a wrong dish and were quick to respond positively to our call. Just make sure you place your order early especially on weekends. It can take over an hour for your food to be ready.

I have never gone into this restaurant to eat and always have ordered takeout. The food is good, the portions are large, and the staff always courteous. I have never been kept waiting and have always been satisfied with the quality of the food.I recommend the happy family, its a dish with shrimp pork and vegetables. Also the ginger beef is very good

The Chin Hon has been around forever! The food is delicious and the buffet is always a good choice. The only complaint is when ordering take-out, it's a bit pricey.

We seldom go here now that there are better options in town - our last visit left us wishing we hadn't 'indulged' as it was really not the best quality food for the money you spend.
