Description

Nestled in the heart of the city, this restaurant offers an eclectic menu with a lively atmosphere. Diners rave about the seafood pasta, hearty salads, and unique specialties like the beef carpaccio and pasta de la sol. While the service can occasionally falter during busy times, many guests commend the friendly staff and the inviting ambiance. Although some dishes, such as the crab dip and tacos, miss the mark, the overall experience remains positive, with reasonable prices considering the generous portions. Whether you're seeking a casual meal or a fun night out, this spot is worth a visit.

The food was excellent, and the French fries were exceptional.

The restaurant was not crowded during lunch on a Saturday. The service was well-paced at first, then the server disappeared for awhile. The crab dip was overly cheesy and served with stale bread and stale chips. The burger was served well done and with undercooked onions instead of sauteed mushrooms. The pasta with shrimp was tasty and the portion was large; it was worth taking it home to eat later. The Irish specialty drinks were a good addition to the menu. Prices are a bit inflated for the quality of food served.

Only a small inconspicuous corner building in an old part of the city of ottawa, illinois brings some of the best kitchen! my wife has the idea to check this place called corner 230 after a shopping in ottawa. we planned a 4 o'clock early dinner. in restaurant there was only one table. my fear increased because this would never be expected on Saturday afternoon in ottawa. we were greeted by one of their lady servers that showed us in another room next to the bar area. long story short. our service and eating were both fantastic. we have started the experience with wonderfully made caprese salat. absolutely perfect. even if the tomats in illinois this time of the year are usually less than ideal. I enjoyed an Italian pasta court while my wife enjoyed one of her special sandwiches and although we had not separated, the choice of alcohol/drinks seemed amazing. do not let the lack of prominence in the common discourage them from corner 230. everything was wonderful. we make it a point to return.

Cortney was my server my first introduction to the restaurant over the phone, and Rich was a bearder I believe, but acted as my second bit of exposure when I called back the second time, the gentleman I talked to old friends when I came in. I love him. Both had great energy. Cortney was totally child-sensitive and peskatarian gluten-free friendly. And the menu was good enough. We decided to be a bit on the cheeky, eat some of the fried Calamari omg, amazingly tasty, the grilled Calamari Spinat salad delicious, the fungus fries a little too hard, imo, although I love Portabello mushrooms, and a pasta for our child with the most generous serving of fresh sauteed vegetables something we always order on the side since vegetarian. The energy of the terrace where we sat was great, the amount was also, including the 120 pounds of Lucy Dog I loved. And the decor was flattered and sexy, without being foreseeable yet completely small town and full of kindness. My partner loved the music, btw and we all had a really nice evening. When and when we come from Chicago to visit one of the state parks in the future, we will definitely return to places when traveling. Tons of love! Fun!

We used C230 for the holiday celebration of Child Welfare Guild and had a fabulous evening. The cocktail hour with delicious appetizers was amazing. The sit-down menu (with Salat Dessert was wonderful. The ambience of C230 was simply perfect for a holiday party. Katie, Nicole Tony was all so cheerful and great to set up with our series of 35 people! I worked with Katie in planning this party, it was a piece of cake! The price was very reasonable for such a good meal! Thank you Katie Ryba for planning a painless process. I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to hold a party to have it at C230!
