Perfect place where to stop after enjoying the beautiful beach of Porto Badisco. Spaghetti con le cozze were simply great! We also liked frittura mista and the starters. What Dashlife doesn't like about Trattoria Le Taiate:
They had run out of pasta with sea urchins mid afternoon when we arrived. Had seafood spaghetti which was fine but not exceptional. My wife had a decent polvo pinato. Forgot the bread. Took forever to pay. In line with our experience of this region not tourist friendly, locals come first. View all feedback.
Horrible welcoming. We asked the waitress if there was a free table, she answered with a blunt no and went away irrespectfully. Then we saw a free table and asked another waiter if we could sit there. He answered in a very unpolite way saying that the kitchen was closed. Our worst service and welcoming in our whole life! I suggest the bar/restaurante by this one: amazing staff and delicious food!

The waitress speaks quite well English, was very polite and proactive in reccomanding and advising. Fresh seafood and irreprochable service. Better to reserve in advance. Very afordable prices, very good food at very good price. We went there 2 days in a row, coming from Otranto.
We have been here 2 days in a row because we literally fell in love with this place and food. It looks very simple and service might not be the fastest in the world but it's worth the wait! We tried literally everything from their menu and everything was delicious. Tho this restaurant might have a 3,5 star rating, it's because of impatient bastards that want everything to be served right away. Their rating doesn't reflect quality of food. If I could rate them from 1 to 5, it would a be a solid 6; Definitely will come back next year!
