On our second... read more We chanced upon Girodiboa while looking for a restaurant in Otranto on a very busy summer evening. Elia warmly welcomed and took good care of us. On our second visit, the chef, Domenica, came to see us and even offered to prepare some dishes that were not in the menu such as beignet de bacalao (very sublte and tasty) and the tartare of tuna with mango slices and bacalao with arugula leaves and balsamic vinegar these were just heavenly! An explosion of flavors! At the end of our meal, Elia served us with a refreshing digestif made of thyme, which he made himself. Out of the 4 nights in Otranto, we came back to this restaurant twice for dinner. Happy conversations, good food and excellent service make this restaurant our happy place in Otranto.
