We ordered a starter and two first ones, which were quite tasty, but to see arrive an appetizer paid more than 20 euros that made us cry flat and table for how poor it was, in a restaurant 100 meters from the port really hurts the heart. We paid 70 euros, it is not a great deal, but enough to expect dignified dishes.

It's not in an obvious tourist area but the food is excellent as is the service. I had a pizza that was really fresh and tasty whilst my wife had pasta that melted in your mouth. Excellent value for money.

We were very well looked after and they spent time carefully explaining the menu and showing us the fish we could have. The children had no problem finding things they liked on the menu either. All the food we had was well cooked, we had generous portions and it tasted lovely. We enjoyed it so much for lunch we came back another evening for dinner. We really clicked with them and felt part of the family.

It was a very-very nice and tasty dinner, not far from the croweded centre of Otranto. One evening before, we went to one of the most recommended restaurants on TripAdvisor...no so happy at all, it wasn't bad, but it was actually all about plating the food.....but here, at Alla Risacca, we will be back for sure for good people and very good quality of food.

He told us he... read more We had been in Italy a week and not had a pizza so went here for lunch based on the reviews.The waiter was very welcoming and spoke good English. He told us he was the lunchtime pizza maker as well. We ordered two pizzas and both were superb. We could tell that they had been carefully made with all ingredients proportioned neatly over the pizza. We marveled that the thin crust NEVER got soggy despite the nice amount of tomato sauce and three or four toppings. The waiter explained that the dinnertime pizza maker made his own dough, which was used at lunch as well, and that he allowed it to rise and mature a day or two. Apparently that helps avoid sogginess. It was wonderfully crispy and tasty. This is a nice casual restaurant and I think they take pride in their food. Only one block outside the castle walls and away from the touristy restaurants inside. It's worth a little extra walking and searching to find Alla Risacca. We're so glad we did.
