What Dionne McCray doesn't like about Starling Diner:
The servers and hostess are rude and not helpful. Asked how do I get on the list to be seated, the first the server I asked ignored me then after waiting I was helped by the hostess with an eye rolls and everything. Guess they are rich and don’t need money. View all feedback.

Great service, great food, best French toast , small place for large groups
Yummy peach French toast. My niece had the banana Nutella which she loved. Scones and butter variety were yummy too.
The food service was too good. The breakfast brushetta was amazing. The right amount of sweetness to kick off our dishes. Portions are decently sized. So if you have a small stomach you'll need a togo box. I'm thankful they accommodated our 6 person group so quickly. Space is limited so plan to wait. Street parking in residential area get dropped off if you can.
In summary: Don 't go out of your way to eat here. This is a tough review because the food isn 't bad, it 's a bit bland, but not bad. It 's just not anything worth driving for. If I was a local I would love walking to this place for a meal, but that 's about where it stops. The egg dishes are just that, eggs and whatever you get in them. The scones are just meh. So, I knocked off one star for being meh, and the other one because I despise deceptive tipping practices. They offer 18%, 22% and 25% tip buttons, knowing damn well that most people elect 15-20%. Psychologically, this leads most people to go up rather than down, so they trick people into tipping more. Yes, you can enter your own amount manually, but they know most people will just hit the button. Parking: Located in a residential area, you 'll likely have to walk a block or two and park in front of someone 's house.
