The pub has a traditional atmosphere and offers a great selection of cask ales. The bar staff are friendly and welcoming. It's unfortunate that it was nearly empty on a Friday night; it seems that Wetherspoons is affecting business negatively.
This is a fantastic traditional pub. It features a beer garden at the back for the summer and a cozy roaring fire for the winter. There's a great selection of real ales, and it's a wonderful mix of patrons from all age groups. It's a classic spot, even though I was too young to drink there!
