We took a golf cart to this place from the port, charlie was waiting there to greet us. Had a table on the beach and great service. Nachos were great. There is a little convenience store just a 2 minute walk from here that I recommend getting drinks at got a 12 pack, some a 2 litter drink, a 12 ounce drink, and a large bag of chips for $15. The guy playing music was the best never stopped playing the entire 4+ hours... View all feedback.

View all feedback.

Sent by Mayahual Golf Carts to have lunch here, we were a little hesitant and were prepared to re-board our little cart and look elsewhere. Boy, that would have been a mistake!Upon arrival (their sign even says "Welcome Golf Carts") we noticed a parking lot jammed with cars owned by locals - an EXCELLENT sign always. After giving our cart Rock Star Parking, we were escorted to our thatched umbrella right at the edge of the beach. The weather was gorgeous - warm, reasonable humidity and strong breezes blowing off the water. Ideal.Although our waiter only spoke broken English, with the help of an English language menu we were able to order three dishes: a ceviche, meat-filled empanadas with spicy sauce and fried plantain and bananas. It turned out to be one dish too many. But the taste of everything was excellent. So, as we sat there enjoying our food with some local Mexican beer, the scene around us was very interesting and always changing. Merchants came walking along peddling their wares - the mall was coming to us - and families were out for a nice lunch and a swim. The furnishings? Well, the best white plastic Corona Beers could furnish :)) Just didn't matter. It was all comfortable enough and the overall ambiance was unbeatable. If you'd like to eat some genuine local food in a place that's obviously loved and supported by the locals, then this is it.
