We were literally walking down the street seeing what this little area had to offer and walked into Chiquita's for a cold drink. My daughter and I wanted cold water, and Fernando asked if we wanted coconut water - he literally took a big knife out back and cut the tops off of two coconuts and stuck straws in them - yum! they made fresh guacamole at our table to order and fried the tortilla chips while we were waiting... Nice place to have lunch or snack. Please look the price before order. I never have problems but I know people how has over charge for a lot more. The margaritas are awesome and also guacamole. View all feedback.

They cooked us the most magnificent stuffed crab feast in May when they first opened in their new location. We can't wait to go back.

My daughter and I wanted cold water, and Fernando asked if we wanted coconut water - he literally took a big knife out back and cut the tops off of two coconuts and stuck straws in them - yum! they made fresh guacamole at our table to order and fried the tortilla chips while we were waiting, delicious. Very friendly and delicious!
Fernando welcomed us personally to the restaurant, already busy with locals. He promised us an economical meal, and a raste of the local cuisine. The garlic prawns recommended were great, and we were even treated to a root-based drink from Costa Maya (colour seemed similar to beetroot) alongside our chelada and all-natural piña coladas. Fernando's wife cooked it all and we were truly impressed. While we waited for the food, we even got puppy cuddles and entertainment from Justin, one of Fernando's kids. Want to get a taste of a true Mexican meal and feel? Go there. And say hi to Fernando for us!
This little road side eatery in Mahahual has some of the best food I've had in Mexico! The guacamole and ceviche were very fresh, tasty and made to order, excellent. Was on a cruise and having ceviche in every country we hit and this was the best by far. Service was warm and attentive and prices great. Don't be fooled by the humble location. Well worth checking out.
