All he said about the food and everythi... read more It's hard to really evaluate this place. My family enjoyed Tuscan tavern. Our server was polite and looked at our needs. All he said about the food and everything on the menu seemed great. We started with two appetizers from Shrimp and Oysters. They were shrimps and oysters each served on a french french french frying bed with a dipping sauce. The shrimp bread seemed like they were frozen out of a box, but the shrimps themselves were freshly tasting, very strange. The diving sauce seemed like a tasteful ketchup. It's really weird that I serve Pommes with an appetizer. The most important courses were much better, the tomatoes on my salad were very fresh. The chicken of my wife had the same bread that the shrimps had almost cooked over, almost burned bread crumbs. This place was good in my book.

We went on a Wednesday ev... read more Let me start by saying the food is totally amazing. The reason that I didn't give 5 full stars is that the wait here can be obnoxious. We went on a Wednesday evening, it wasn't busy. It took almost an hour to just get bread. Which if your not in a rush that is okay, but I have 2 small kids. We ordered our meals at 6:30pm and didn't get our meal till 8:30pm. Seemed crazy. They did make it right by not charging for a ton of beer and our soups. We have gone a few times with and without kids, like I said the food is well worth the wait!

This is definitely one of our favorite places to eat.

The vibe is just right—lively enough to enjoy some entertainment but calmer than places like T.G.I. Friday’s. The portions are generous and well worth the price, and the wine list is outstanding. My only concern was the service; our waitress only appeared twice—once to take our order and once to bring the bill. Since she didn’t assist with drinks, food, or clearing plates, it was hard to feel comfortable leaving a good tip. If any issues arose during the meal, we had to handle them ourselves. Despite this, I highly recommend Tuscan Tavern for a wonderful dinner experience.

The desserts we took home were equally wonderful. The staff was warm, attentive, and well-informed, effortlessly answering all our questions. Tuscan Tavern is truly a hidden gem in Oswego!

We sampled almost everything on the menu and loved each dish. Additionally, the chef creates custom entrees upon request, which is a wonderful touch.

The entrees were delicious and service was good. We had several drinks with the wine pours being adequate. We also had 3 appetizers including, goat cheese, calamari and scallops. We opted out for dessert. Our bill was $360which included the tip. My only negative comment pertains to the scallops. The appetizer was $14 and we received 3 scallops thatweren't even jumbo in size. They were about a quarter size in diameter and 1/2 inch thick. I have been to numerous restaurantswhere if that size were served more would have come on the tray or if only 3 were served they would have been much bigger. Thescallop issue prevented a 5 star rating.

Subdued and comfortable decor with just enough Italian tackiness to make one feel right at home. Entrees are scrumptious, authentic, and large enough for 2 3meals. All come with a cup of chicken vegetable soup. Will definitely make a return visit and try other items on extensivemenu.

The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance—not so quiet that you can’t enjoy a lively conversation, but also not as noisy as places like T.G.I. Friday's. The food portions are definitely worth the price, and the wine selection is impressive. My only concern was with the service; we only saw our waitress twice—once to take our order and again to deliver the check. It’s difficult to tip someone who didn’t bring our drinks, serve the food, or clear our dishes. If we encountered any issues in between, we had to handle them ourselves. Despite this, I would highly recommend the Tuscan Tavern for a lovely night out.
