A little off the beaten track but well worth a visit. Located amongst other houses, this restaurant seats outside under cover. It's simple and uncomplicated. The atmosphere is calm and tranquil. The menu is well priced and the pizzas are very good. The staff are polite but not overly friendly. A few smiles wouldn't go amiss. What SeanK1261 doesn't like about Da Gigione:
The service was dishonest and atrocious. I’m actually not sure was worse taking 1 hour 30 mins to cook a pasta dish with a basic tomato sauce in a virtually empty restaurant or having the gall to, quite rudely, justify the delay because it takes that long to make it! Thankfully, all the other restaurants in the vicinity are far better. Avoid. View all feedback.
Great find for us as so near our house. Kids loved it…. So much we went back two nights later. They had steak and Cotoletto and I had Mixed seafood grill and Prawns the second time. Service was great and they were so kind to us especially while I butchered their beautiful language. Will definitely go back.
What a great place. We worked our way through the starters and had pizza from the wood fired stone oven. The food is authentic and the portions are generous. Service was lovely. Prices are very reasonable. All in all Da Gigione is a save bet.
My husband found this restaurant as we wanted to eat away from the Ostuni historic center. We arrived a bit early at 7;45 and only ones here. We ordered our app and we’re happy that it was delicious and we made a good choice for dinner. Other guests arrived after 8:15 our entree blew us away ordered orriechiette Al ragù and it was incredible! Will tell everyone to try this place. There are cats outdoors that may come to you we didn’t mind having a neighbor during dinner.
