Good experience. Service could be improved, though friendly. The food is imaginative, perhaps more on paper than on the palate.
Dining at Cielo at La Sommità is nothing short of extraordinary. Nestled within the historic heart of Ostuni, the restaurant blends elegance and intimacy, offering an atmosphere that feels refined yet welcoming. From the first bite, it’s clear this is a place where tradition and artistry are in perfect harmony. Each dish is a revelation — local Apulian ingredients transformed with precision and soul. The flavors are both bold and delicate, rooted in authenticity yet elevated to something unforgettable. The experience flows seamlessly, with each course presented like a work of art that respects the region’s heritage while pushing it forward. A special mention must go to Pastry Chef Giuseppe, whose desserts are nothing less than masterpieces. His creations are light yet decadent, imaginative yet deeply comforting — the perfect finale to an already remarkable meal. Cielo at La Sommità is a jewel of Puglia, and without question, worthy of a Michelin star.
We came across this restaurant by chance and it was an extraordinary experience of refined cuisine, welcoming atmosphere in a protected garden and a breathtaking view... not to mention the perfect staff...
Beautiful setting inside a 5-star hotel. Truly excellent food and excellent service! Highly recommended

The restaurant was excellent, and the food was delicious. The sommelier was friendly and provided excellent wine pairings for the different courses, while sticking with local vintages. The only reason I cannot give this restaurant a higher rating is because the waiter who served my dishes had horrible body odor it was nauseating and made me completely lose my appetite.
Such a waste of an evening. Service was excellent. Food was just bad. Bad. Overdone overdressed. Overstated.
The staff was nice. The food is authentic pulian food.I think some of the dishes are too simple for a michelin star restaurant, like the eggplant appetizer was nothing special, the dessert with riccotta.Other dishes were amazing-the beef and the duck breast. At all the experience was good.
Everything was perfect the guys who took care of us made our night with their warmth and humour.
Presentation of the dishes and the ambiance were excellent. I liked that there were several options for tasting menus, in addition to the a la carte menu. The service was outstanding, the staff was welcoming and warm. We were one of the last tables left and as it was getting late, our server arranged a complimentary tuk tuk ride back down the hill to where we had parked our car, which was a nice touch.

Having just had a wonderful experience at Poblet in Spain, We were very much looking forward to our Michelin starred experience in Ostuni. Unfortunately, we were absolutely disappointed and frankly incredulous at the one-star rating of this restaurant. The courses were unoriginal, uninspiring, and repetitive (two uncooked eggs on two different courses in the same meal; two ice creams in the same meal... really?! . The staff and maitre were impossibly kind and well informed, the service however was not attentive, we were left with dirty dishes from previous courses on the table, bread crumbs were not cleaned up until asked, etc. There was not the expected choreography in delivering each course. The wine choice suggested by the maitre was a positive, but it did not make up for a lousy dinner.
Service is excellent, as is the location. The food however is a shame all around. Concept At the expense of taste. A chef sitting on his star and putting out uninspired bad dishes full of different shades Of grey and brown goop. Don’t go for the food it would be better to throw away 150 euro
Biggest disappointment in Italy. The food was ok, but far from Michelin star level. Worst restaurant manager and service ever seen in an Michelin star restaurant.
Spent our birthday lunch here and we reall enjoyed ourselves. Fantastic service, great food experience and also fantastic wine. Thank you!
Promised so much being so highly rated but sadly disappointed. Enjoyed a drink on the balcony with a terrific view. Sadly that was the best part. The degustation menu was a secret, depending on what the chef wants to serve. Seriously! Doesn’t work for me and I suggest most other people. The a la carte failed to excite and the experience left me cold. So many better restaurants in Ostuni

High quality and very original meal served in a delicious orange-planted patio. approximate service for the reception and addition that contained errors.
A dinner to remember for the excellence of the flavors and dishes presented impeccably. star certainly deserved especially for combinations of flavors and for the experimentation of gouits. high level service from all staff coordinated with skills from the room manager, which is also a pleasant interlocutor. It's worth every penny!
Incredible restaurant! We had both the water and land tasting menus with wine pairing and it was delicious and superbly paired with wine. Absolutely worth coming here!
Not worthy of michelin star or michelin review. I have the tasting menu service was good, but not unforgettable. food is like initial, but lack of substance and lack of performance. it is not worth their time or effort. Even the setting is not great. the thing that made it worse, was the situation in the toilet at leaving. toilet dirty and it was clear, not cleaned in a time. a sign of this place doesn't make much effort. this dirt was from at least the night before when I was there for lunch and the place was empty at that time. that is something that should automatically remove any star or mention. eating is not delicious. I will pay a high price for special foods and special experience, but they will not find either here so best to try somewhere else. when they become famous, there is too much risk for quality. sad!
