First, hats off to Mohammed and Giovanni for outstanding service. It's not easy serving up many flights of stairs to the awesome terraces of this restaurant. But from patience and guidance in our selections to an outstanding 3 course meal they delivered the goods: opener of fava beans (a little bland), ravioli with meat ragu and a cool note of cinnamon, and a crusted tuna secundi, a bottle of a local wine, and Giovanni s choice of a semi-frido chocolate dessert. All for $82 Euro. Molto Bene!
Awesome terrace but also nice indoor spots. Stuffed eggplant was awesome! Great wine as well. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Originally booked into their sister restaurant across the road (monacelle) but ended up in here enticed by the allure of a roof terrace. We were not disappointed gorgeous atmosphere with amazing views of Ostuni. As if this was not good enough, we were treated to the best food we have eaten in Puglia full stop; the orecchiette was genius in its simplicity, one of the finest pasta dishes I have tasted and uniquely Puglian to boot. Outside of that the rabbit and ravioli were both excellent and when combined with the decent service and affordable pricing this restaurant should certainly not be missed on a trip to Ostuni. I struggle to find fault with my experience at Ama, and frankly if I was staying for longer I would dine here again.
Beautiful terrace above the Ama chilometrozero winery shop Their excellent wines are offered High and low food Special aubergines, not good orecchiette with turnip greens....but it's not in season... Excellent lamb, overcooked tuna... But it's August, to return Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5
