I put in the effort and this review comes aft... read more I recently visited a local restaurant (it's just around the corner from my house, so I decided to really enjoy it. I put in the effort and this review comes after quite a few visits. For those who don't want to read too much: It's amazing, definitely go try it out, I can only recommend it. For me, it's the best restaurant of this kind in Ostrava. My wife and I have been complaining for a long time and couldn't find a place that has great food, excellent coffee, and delicious desserts all in one. This place has it all. For those who like to read more, I am happy to explain why I hold this opinion. I would like to mention in advance that things may not always be perfect, and that some desserts or dishes may not be as good as others. But overall, it is truly the best place I know in its category. The food is really great, during my time there, everything tasted good to me, most of it was amazing. In my opinion, the Czech classics fall a bit short (specifically, the St. Martin's goose wasn't that wow. I think the modern cuisine here is absolutely fantastic.) The last time I had a beef burger and it was really great. And I've had a few in my life. I really enjoy the soups in the daily menu. They have a unique style and are very tasty, all of them. The cakes and desserts are fantastic. The price is proportional to the quality; I've had good and excellent experiences here, but I can't say I was ever completely dissatisfied. That hasn't happened to me. Which, for that price, is all right, sometimes it tastes more, sometimes less. But mostly we say that the dessert was great. Coffee, my beloved coffee, I praise the brand, the restaurant hit the mark with me, so nothing more needs to be said. Coffee is a very specific thing, personally I like it a lot here, so I have no problem with it. And now I will write the most important thing. You might ask, what is it? Haven't I already written everything essential? Well, for me, no, I don't think so. Having good food and coffee is a necessity for me. In order for a restaurant to be successful, you have to sell yourself, you have to give people emotions. Personally, I would happily eat worse food or pay more money somewhere, where I simply feel good, where they smile at me, wish me a nice day, where nothing is a problem. And that is the most important thing for me. Luckily, I don't have to compromise here, everything is as it should be. A scoop of ice cream for my son off the menu, a bowl of water for the dog, customization of the food...nothing is a problem. Also, our dog has become a local mascot :-D. So, I thank the whole team, they are doing a great job and if they continue like this, I will gladly come back again.

I am sincerely pleased that someone has managed to bring a bit of culture here to not-so-beautiful Ostrava, where services unfortunately still lag behind.
