So if you are not from the area, it could be a little difficult finding the restaurant. Lucky for me we were following my girlfriend and she lives in the town of Osses. From the outside it is cute. It has an outside terrace and lucky us there was an empty table and we grabbed it. It was a perfect day to sit outside. It was the last day of the village festivals and the final lunch was at Etxeko Borda. So there were lots of locals there, but not over crowded. The ambiance and service was great because everybody new everybody. Since it was the end of the festival we did not get a menu. We were all going to be served the same meal. We started with a salad that had jambon, eggs, cheese with a slice of baguette that had a slice of jambon and melted cheese on it. It was delicious. The salad had a very light vinaigrette. It was very tasty, my husband and brother want to go back just so they can have this salad again! Then we were served confit de canard and French fries. I will start with my favorite part, I love confit de canard. The skin was really nicely crispy, many a times it is too greasy but this chef had that part perfect. The French fries were really good too and the dessert was a very good tart with some ice cream. We would happily come back here again!

Plats simples, complets, produits frais. Lieu authentique, loin de la foule de touristes. Accueil chaleureux typique basque. Bon rapport qualité/prix.
